SUICIDE PREVENTION HOTLINE (212) 673- 3000

Donations to The Samaritans of New York

The Samaritans of New York is a 501(c)(3) non-religious, non-profit organization whose entire budget is derived from the generous support of individuals, corporations, foundations and governmental grants. We welcome both public and private donations, including in-kind donations, matching grants and donations placed in memorial or to honor someone. Donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law and help support Samaritans 24-hour suicide prevention hotline, public education and awareness programs, suicide survivor support groups and prevention work in the community. We thank you for your support.

You can make a donation to Samaritans in one of the following ways:

  • Donate by Credit Card

To donate by credit card, click on the link below to make your contribution via the Network for Good website, which is a secure website that will process the amount you wish to give. You may also donate in honor or in memory of someone at this site. • Donate by Check or Money Order

To donate by check or money order, please make contributions payable to The Samaritans of New York and mail to:

      The Samaritans of New York
P.O. Box 1259 Madison Square Station

  • Arrange a Matching Gift

Many employers will "match" your charitable donation to the Samaritans, which could double or triple the value of your donation! If your or your spouse's company (or former company if you are retired) has a matching-gift program, please let us know when you make your donation. You can request a matching gift form from your company and mail it to us; our office will complete the paperwork.

To find out if your company has a matching gift program, click here to access a free matching gift look-up service or, if it's not listed there, ask your human resources department. Note: some companies also match gifts made by retirees.

**Please note that Samaritans will not share your name and address with any other organization nor will we use it in any manner outside of acknowledging your donation or informing you of Samaritans' activities.
